Online Auctions

Expanding Market Reach and Convenience Through Online Auctions

The Evolution of Auctions: Now Accessible Online

Auctions have been around for centuries, and they've changed with the times. Rowell Auctions, Inc. runs every sale as a timed online auction, bringing a far wider pool of buyers to your property than an onsite event ever could.

Reach Buyers Everywhere

Online auctions put your property in front of qualified buyers wherever they are, across the Southeast, across the country and beyond. More buyers means more competition, and more competition means stronger prices, from farmland and timberland to homes, commercial property and equipment.

Benefits for Buyers and Sellers Alike

For Sellers: The Best Price Through Broad Exposure

Targeted online marketing gives every auction wide reach and draws serious bidders into one competitive event with a firm closing date.

For Buyers: Bid From Anywhere

Whether you live across town or across the country, you can browse, inspect the documents and bid from your computer or phone. No travel, no auction-day schedule to work around.

Common Questions

Do I have to be there to bid?

No. Every Rowell auction is online, so you can register, review the documents and bid from your computer or phone.

How does an online auction end?

Each auction has a set closing time. If a bid comes in during the last five minutes, the clock resets to five minutes, and that repeats until no one bids for five minutes.

How long does it take to sell at auction?

We typically market an auction for about 30 days. Closing usually follows 30 to 45 days after the auction ends.

What does it cost the seller?

On our real estate auctions, the buyer pays the commission through a buyer’s premium. In most cases, the seller’s only cost is the promotional cost of marketing the auction.
