Rowell Auctions sold four farms totaling about 277 acres in Colquitt and Worth Counties, Georgia, for an estate executor. The land sold to four buyers, at prices ranging from $3,300 to $4,850 an acre, and beat the executor's pre-sale estimates.
The executor needed to sell the estate's farmland quickly and efficiently while getting the most money possible for the heirs.
Each of the four farms had its own character, which together appealed to a wide range of buyers.

We marketed the farms through online and email advertising, social media, full-color direct mail, newspaper ads, signs and a lot of personal contact in the area.
Using our Ultimate Choice online bidding platform, we divided the four farms into ten tracts. Buyers could bid on a single tract, any combination of tracts, or a whole farm.

Bidding was strong, as expected. The property went under contract immediately after the auction with full 15% earnest money deposits. It sold to four separate buyers at prices from $3,300 to $4,850 an acre, and the executor was very pleased that the results beat the pre-sale estimates.
